Page Usage or Excess Rates
Please note that the published inbound page 'usage' or 'excess' rates are based on a typical business document being successfully received into our fax server within 60 seconds. If the inbound fax document exceeds 60 secs,
you will be charged on a per second basis of the excess time at the 'page' or 'excess' rate applicable to the service you have subscribed to.
To illustrate this better, if you are on a plan that charges 15c for every inbound fax page and one of the fax documents took 90 secs to receive, then you would be charged 22.5c in this instance.
What is the Fax to Email service?
This service allows you to receive your faxes at one central location (your email account). Communication has never been easier.
How does it work?
Well, we do all the hard work and make it simple for you. There is no need to download or install any software. The faxes will arrive as either (you choose) a 'TIFF' or 'PDF' file attachment in your email inbox. Then you simply, double-click the files to read your fax. As an optional extra, an SMS alert can also be provided to you each time a message is retrieved. This is particularly handy, if you do not always have access to your email inbox.
How do the messages arrive in my e-mail account?
The faxes will arrive as 'TIFF' or 'PDF' files. These files are attached to an e-mail message addressed to you. You simply double-click on the file attachments to view the faxes.
Who are our plans suitable for?
We offer four fax-to-email plans. These are designed to suit the casual user, the business user and the heavy user.
How long does it take to set up?
During normal business hours we generally complete your order within 15 minutes, if not sooner.
What happens if I receive more pages than my plan allocates?
You have a couple of options, one of which allows you to upgrade or downgrade your current plan. You can do this by calling us, sending an email or by Live Chat. Alternatively, you can leave your service on the existing plan and simply pay for the excess pages at these rates.
What happens if I sign up for a plan and I move?
If you relocate from one capital city/state to another we can issue you with a new number within minutes of your request. This way you will never miss a fax message coming into your inbox.
Will I be penalised for cancelling my service?
No. We're unlike other providers who require you remain with them for a set period. There is absolutely no penalty for canceling at any time. In fact, we often have overseas travellers who sign up for less than two (2) weeks. The only thing we ask is that you do pay for the service one month in advance.
What does SMS Alert do?
Some users don't have regular access to their email because they travel a lot or do not continuously have their internet connected. The SMS Alert service is useful in these situations because it sends a message to your mobile as soon as a fax arrives, giving you the assurance of knowing instantly when to check your email for faxes.
What does Email Encryption do?
Some fax documents require the privacy and confidentiality that encryption offers. When you subscribe to this feature, your emails from Ozefax will arrive with a WINZIP file attached, rather than a PDF file. In order to open the WINZIP file, you will need software from www.winzip.com.
What happens if I change my mind and decide I want to order SMS Alerts?
No problem. Just contact us at anytime and we can add this features on to your inbound fax number service.
